The BICSI South Pacific Conference dates have been announced for 2017, with the event moving to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from 26–27 September. The AFL fanatics among our readers will recognise that as Grand Final Week, so get ready to book tickets and kill two birds with one stone.

The event will feature the usual conference and exhibition components and is also promising access to the MCG museum and a back-of-house tour.

The main theme is ICT Infrastructure, incorporating Ethernet, IP, structured cabling, optical fibre, data centres, wireless, PoE, NBN and radio frequency. The conference promises to cover these topics in depth, including a focus on how the right ICT infrastructure will enable a business and help mitigate risks.

In addition to the conference program, the exhibition hall will include some of the industry’s best and brightest, showcasing products and services including test gear, optical fibre, copper cabling, enclosures, training, labelling systems, AV gear, IPCCTV, digital security, RF systems, power management, DCIM, asset management and containerised data centres.

The popular Awards Dinner and Cabling Skills Challenge events will also return in 2017.

Registration will open shortly — keep an eye on the BICSI website for more info. In the meantime, put the following details in your diary.
