The 2012 Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services (ARBS 2012) exhibition and seminar program will be held from 7-9 May 2012 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Professionals and trade visitors who are involved in the design and construction of sustainable, energy-efficient, commercial, residential and multipurpose buildings and the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration products and services worldwide are invited to attend.

The theme for the 2012 event is ‘Connecting people, technology and innovation’. Visitors have the opportunity to view the latest products on the exhibition floor, talk to manufacturers and distributors about new innovations, and network with peers at a variety of social functions including the awards presentation dinner.

The awards program, running for the second time in conjunction with the exhibition, showcases industry achievements across a variety of disciplines.

The theme of this year’s BICSI Conference and Exhibition is ‘Delivering Best Practice’. It will concentrate on developing ITS infrastructure skills and knowledge.

The free 1-day expo and workshops (14 May) will upskill visitors on:

• Properly terminating Cat 6_A cabling;
• Correctly testing and reporting on cabling performance;
• Choosing between shielded and unshielded cabling;
• Cabling for industrial applications;
• Fire-ratings in cable pathways.

The 2-day conference (15-16 May) will feature:

• Design, deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure;
• The National Broadband Network rollout;
• Data-centres;
• Technology and application convergence.
